Scroll down to see the Photo Shoot post I just added. I started it a while back, but just finished it tonight...it added it by the date I started it. So scroll down to June 17. It includes some beautiful pictures we took when Luke was only 2 weeks old!

Dedications

Luke and Daddy during worship
(it was Luke's first time to church and he did fabulous, slept through most of it!)

The Stockton family and the Griffin family with Pastor Ron Lewis

After the service we went over to my parent's house for some pizza and swimming!

Swimming!

Luke sleeping again, this time in his bouncy seat outside.

Today was a special day for our family. We had both of our boys dedicated at church today, such a sweet time for us as parents. The pastor read a letter written to the boys from the church and Carl introduced our family to the church. The letter was written by the pasotro, but was true to our hearts. Part of the letter read..."Our desire, our prayer is that you grow up in the community of faith. Our heartfelt goal is that your life will be filled with all good things of the Spirit of God. ... May God hold you gently and love you strongly. May He empower us to truly reflect His nature to you. This is our prayer." We are so blessed to be a part of the famiy of Cy Fair Christian Church!
We are also extremely blessed with amazing family! Today we were surrounded by those we love during this special time. We were joined by Emmy, Gumby, Grandpa, Cameron, Oma, Opa, Tante Szzt (Soo Jin), Uncle Doo Dee Doo (Rudi), Aunt Melissa, Carson and Colton. We also shared this special time with some of our closest friends, Kristin, Linc, and TayTay (Taylor!). We are so thankful to have them in our lives and to be a part of Taylor's dedication as well!

Happy Father's Day

I know I'm a day early, but I'm not sure if I'll have time to blog tomorrow. So here it is...

Happy Father's Day to my dad, my father in law, grandpa, Carl, my brother, and all the other dads reading this blog! I am so thankful to have been blessed with such great men in my life. Each of you have touched my life in a unique way for which I am forever greatful! I hope that you all have a fabulous day and are treated like the amazing men you are!

some of our recent fun...

Proud Daddy moment...

Isaac's first ride in the hot rod! It took some convincing, he was scared at first, but then he relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed it!

"Yes? I'm driving, please close the door and leave me alone."

Dressed and ready to cheer on his team! Hup Holland Hup!

Luke chillin' at the neighborhood lake.

Isaac enjoying a snack on the beach.

Swimming with Daddy.

Isaac's first ride on a jet ski...will he like it???

Oh he LOVED it! He kept saying, more more! Of course going fast was the best part.

Photo Shoot

Luke had his first photo shoot on May 21...and he did great! We debated back and forth over whether or not we were going to take newborn pictures, but finally we decided that yes we would do it. I am so glad that we did! These pictures are priceless! This is such a special time in our lives, a time we will never get back, and I'm so thankful that we captured some of these sweet moments in pictures. We used the same photographer that we used last year and again she far surpassed our expectations! If you need a photographer for anything I highly recommend her, Lane Harris of Lane Harris Photography! We had a great time taking these, some quiet time during Luke's individual pictures and then some fun times during the family pictures and the Isaac pictures. I LOVE all of these pictures! It's really slow uploading them to the blog, so I just put a few on here, and I'll add more every now and then. I hope you enjoy them, too!

Gymnastics

Day 1
Rings

Worn out after class!
(He even fell asleep in the car on the way home.)

Hanging on the bar with TayTay.

Trying to put his feet on the bar.

Waiting for thier stamps at the end of class.

Getting his stamp from Coach Ashley.

We have our next gymnast of the family! Isaac started gymnastics last week (June 7), and he absolutely loved it! I have been talking about signing him up for months, but for many reasons kept putting it off. I knew he would enjoy it, but was worried he would be extremely timid and shy. I hoped he could do some of the "skills", but didn't expect too much. He far surpassed all of my expectations! He was not timid at all, just jumped right in without a bit of hesitation! He tries everything the coach asks of him and can do most of it pretty well! He is not shy at all, he listens to the coach, then does as she asks. He loves hanging on the bars and the rings! But his favorite so far was hanging on the zipline and going across the gym! He was the only one in the class that would hang on to it while we moved it down and back! He couldn't get enough of it, just wanted to go again and again! He also enjoys walking on the beam, and of course jumping on the trampoline! On the trampoline he does one seat drop after another. He also enjoys the song and dance time! Of course we couldn't take on such an adventure without his BFF TayTay.

One on One

Carl has been out of twon this week, since early yesterday morning and he'll be back late tonight. So Carl's parent's graciously took Isaac off of my hands, so I woudn't go crazy. Ha! Okay, I know I could handle it, but it sure is easier to have a partner with two little ones. Isaac went to story time at the library with Emmy and Gumby and then spent the rest of the day and last night with them. He is on his way home now, and I'm sure he had the best time! I am so thankful that we live close to family and our boys can spend so much time with their grandparents. Since Isaac was gone I had a full 24 hours of one on one time with Baby Luke. Oh and it was pure sweetness. This is the first time since we've been home from the hospital that I've really been able to give 100% of my attention to Luke. I loved every minute of it! I feel like we bonded even more and just had a great time together! He smiled so much, which just melts my heart, and we went for a walk, did some Father's Day shopping, and of course napped! He is already growing and changing, I can't believe he's 5.5 weeks old! I am trying to remember everything about these days with my boys...they will be teenagers before I know it (and then I'll never see them)!
We really did miss Big Brother Isaac though, so I'm excited to see have him home again!
