Baby Shower
We have been blessed with amazing friends and family, whose love and support mean so much to us. This past weekend that was proven to us once again, as they threw me a baby shower. It was such a special time shared with my girls as we celebrated the upcoming birth of our new baby boy. As you all know pregnancy did not come easy to us through the years, so to be pregnant now again with our second son is a miracle and something we don't take for granted. I truly loved taking a few hours to focus on the new baby boy and celebrate him. Thank you to all that were a part of the special day and for your sweet generosity.

King's Orchard
Carl went hunting with some friends this past weekend, so I was looking for something new and fun to do with Isaac. Jenny (who's husband was also gone) and I decided to take the kids out to King's Orchard to pick strawberries. We talked about it all week, and were pretty excited about it! Saturday morning came, and when we walked outside it was raining! What a bummer! Well, we didn't let it stop us, we went out there anyway, and I'm so glad we did. It rained lightly on us the entire time, but that didn't bother the kids at all, and we still enjoyed it, too! Isaac really got into picking the strawberries, he got the hang of it real quick. Everytime we'd pick one he'd say, "more!" He needed my help to pick them, but then put them in the basket for me and even carried the basket some. It was a fun and memorable day for sure, I'm so thankful we didn't let the rain scare us away!
If you live in the Houston area and haven't been out there, I definitely recommend you go, it is a fun experience for the kids! Plus, the strawberries are delicious!!!

Fantasticly fun morning!
Today has been a fantastic day so far! We started the day by going to stortytime at the library. I have never taken Isaac to anything like this, so I was a little nervous about how it might go. Well, it was so fun! Isaac did great, he was actually a little intimidated by the other kids, so he was very calm and stayed close to me the whole time. He was quiet during the stories, watched and listened as everyone sang songs, and then colored a beautiful butterfly. During one story a kitten was looking for his mama, the story said, "Where is mama?" Isaac said, "Mama!" Haha! That was all he said the whole time. I think he enjoyed it!
Next, we went to get Isaac a new haircut. His hair had gotten quite long and scraggly, so it was time! Carl and I decided that it was time to cut it shorter and give him a true little boy haircut. Oh my goodness, I love it! It definitely makes him look more grown up, not my baby any more, but sooo cute! He was so good during the haircut, too. The last two times he's gotten a haircut he was very shy and clingy, he had to sit in my lap. This time though he was such a big boy, he sat all by himself in the firetruck and played while she cut his hair. He did say, "Mama." and reach out to me a few times, but overall he was a big boy! I am so proud of what a sweet, big boy Isaac is becoming! I love every new experience with him, and watching him learn and grow!
By the way....he must have enjoyed the morning as much as me because he is actually napping!!! It's a miracle! Yay! That means it's time for me to rest, so I'm signing off!

He is Risen.
Happy Easter Y'all! What a glorious day it is! Easter is a day that can so easily get away from us, the real meaning of it that is, but what an important and amazing day it is!
And the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; HE HAS RISEN, JUST AS HE SAID..." Matthew 5
We celebrated Easter a little differently this year as we try to establish our fmaily traditions, but also we tried to keep it as easy as possible on me since I am not as full of energy as ususal.
Happy Easter to all of you, I hope you have a had a blessed day!
Forgot to mention...we have fantastic neighbors, which I know I've mentioned before, but it is so true! This weekend it was proven again, Isaac was given a new play house and a sandbox from a sweet neighbor. Needless to say he loves the playhouse! We will put the sandbox away for a bit, since he doesn't like to get dirty. =)

Sand
We got Isaac this picnic table for his birthday last year, but never put any sand in it. We decided this week to get him some sand for his table to see what he thought. Well, he really likes digging in it with his shovel, but he cannot take it when he gets sand on himself. Ha! Any time he gets sand on his hand, arm, leg, any where, he gets up and comes to me saying, "Off, off!" Oh boy, what a silly guy! Also, when he goes to sit down on his bench he can't touch the table with his hands for fear of getting sand on them, so he has to sit down without supporting himself, needless to say he has almost fallen a few times because of this. Ha ha! He's keeping me laughing, that's for sure!
Easter Egg Hunt
Today Isaac had a playdate with Taylor, aka TayTay, so we decided to have an Easter egg hunt for the kids. It was a lot of fun! They both really enjoyed it, and I know Kristin and I really enjoyed watching them hunt. After finding his second egg Isaac was completely into it, and after finding an egg he would say, "More!"
By the way, did you notice their adorable matching personalized shirts? Oh how cute! Kristin got them these for Easter, and I have to say I love it!

A nice relaxing Sunday
Today we had a quiet day around the house, and spent a lot of it playing outside. Isaac has always been scared of Carl's lawn mower, but has recently shown more interest in it. He still wouldn't let us put him on it, even with the mower turned off, but we did try every now and then. Today Carl put the lawn mower out in the yard because he had to do some work on it. When he finished were just standing around talking, and Isaac quietly went over to it on his own. He thought we weren't paying attention, but we were...he crawled up on it, all by himself, got up on the seat and pretended to drive it. Oh my, that started a great activity for the day. He spent the next while climbing on and off the lawn mower, all the while saying, "Isaac mow grass." Ha! He loved it, and we loved seeing him conquer that fear. Carl decided after quite a while of Isaac playing on it alone, that he would sit on it with him...oh that didn't go over too well! Isaac screamed and cried, "All done!!! All done!!!" I guess he doesn't trust us on it with him.
This afternoon the Baylor men's basketball team played in the Elite Eight game against Duke. It is their first time to make it this far, so it was an exciting game for us Bears! We watched the entire game, and unfortunately it didn't end as we wanted, but it was still a great game and an awesome season! We ordered pizza for dinner and sat in the living room watching the game while we ate, which we have never done with Isaac, we always sit at the table. What a treat this was! Isaac actually watched the game while he ate, and he ate an entire piece of pizza! The funniest thing is that the last few bites of his pizza had to be dipped into his cinammon apple sauce. The boy LOVES his apple sauce, and loves dipping anything in it. What a goof ball!
We ended the day with a walk around the block, Isaac riding on his tricycle...he's growing too fast!
